American Atheists This well-known organization was established in 1963 and since then has been at the forefront of the battle in the USA to maintain the absolute separation of Church and State. American Atheists is active on many fronts and issues a regular email newsletter as well as operating the No God Blog. Freedom From Religion Foundation This organization, like American Atheists, works for the separation of Church and State in the USA. Its appeal is probably broader than American Atheists as it embraces all freethinkers, whether atheist or agnostic. Richard Dawkins.Net Richard Dawkins hardly need an introduction. The noted biologist and author has carried the torch for an atheist interpretation of life and history for many years. His website is best described by the phrase on its masthead - 'a clear-thinking oasis'. Atheist Foundation of Australia The Foundation grew out of the Rationalist Association of South Australia, being formed in 1970. It rejects supernaturalism and believes infantile concepts hinder true human progress. American Civil Liberties Union The ACLU is a US organization that works tirelessly on issues relating to human freedom, conducting legal actions and being involve din various activities designed to help preserve the individual rights and liberties of citizens. In this regard the ACLU is often involve din skirmishes on issues involving atheists. Rationalist Society of Australia This organization aims to stimulate freedom of thought, and to promote inquiry into religious beliefs and practices, to promote the fullest possible use of science for human welfare, and to promote a secular and ethical system of education. Exit International An organization founded by Dr Philip Nitschke, providing information and assistance on matters relating to end of life choices, i.e. voluntary euthanasia and assisted suicide. The Exit website is probably on the secret list of banned sites to be used by Commissar Conway in his efforts to censor the Internet.
